Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park
Our company representative will pick you from the airport or your hotel in Nairobi after breakfast and through a scenic route drive you to Lake Nakuru National Park a beautiful wildlife haven found on the floor of the Great Rift Valley.
You will have a brief stop on your way at the view point to marvel at the picturesque Great Rift Valley. Take some beautiful pictures and continue your journey to Lake Nakuru NP.
Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge / camp and after embark on an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru NP, famous for its Flamingos that flock the alkaline Lake Nakuru though over the years the population of the flamingos are greatly reduced.
Nevertheless, the current flamingo population is boosted by other bird including the pelicans, cormorants, storks, ostriches, herons among others.
Also look out for other wildlife including Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhinos (endangered species), waterbuck, hippos, reed buck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon, and many species of plains game. Drive back to your lodge / camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Naivasha
Pre-sunrise game drive for a chance to spot the predators (occasionally leopards, lions, hyenas) feasting on their morning hunt and witness the beautiful sunrise as you watch the park come to life. Head back to your lodge / camp for breakfast, after which you will exit Lake Nakuru NP with one last game drive as you drive to the fresh water Lake Naivasha.
Have your lunch when you reach your accommodation in Lake Naivasha and after go for an afternoon refreshing boat safari on the beautiful Lake Naivasha to view schools of hippos submerged in the lake, different bird species, and buffalos at the Lake shores.
We shall finally visit the Crescent Island for a guided walking safari around the sanctuary. Animals to expect include zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, waterbucks and gazelles. Dinner and overnight at your lodge / camp.
Day 3: Back to Nairobi
After your morning breakfast in Naivasha. You will check out and prepare for your journey back to Nairobi. Here your driver will drop you at your hotel or at the airport to catch your flight back home.
