Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
Meet and greet with our company representative at the airport or at your hotel in Arusha for pick up and a summary briefing about your Tanzania safari. Embark on your journey to Tarangire National Park famous for its baobab trees and vast elephant herds, largest elephant population in North Tanzania.
On arrival at the park, you will go for an afternoon game drive with a packed picnic lunch. Spot different animals including the giraffes, oryx, gerenuk, zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos, baboons, vervet monkeys and over 500 different species of birds. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Proceed to the famous Serengeti National Park after your delicious breakfast and a morning game drive in Tarangire National Park. Drive towards the Rift Valley, passing through Mto Wa Mbu and Karatu, with a stopover at a viewing platform to marvel at the beautiful picturesque Ngorongoro Crater and its scenic landscape. You will have lunch en-route.
On reaching the Serengeti, embark on a late afternoon game drive to the center of Serengeti NP, Seronera area featuring Seronera River which is a magnet of different animal species of the Serengeti to the area. Retreat from the activity and head to your camp / lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Full day game drive
Have an early morning breakfast to kick start this wonderful day. Wildlife viewing in a pop up 4WD safari car for an ultimate game drive experience in Serengeti National Park. You will drive around the different corners of the park. For chances of spotting as many as possible animal species and birds. Look out for the big cats (lions, cheetahs and the secretive leopard), elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, rhinos (rarely seen), gazelles, antelopes, primates (monkeys, baboons) and sightings of different species of birds.
Take a small break from the drive and have your picnic lunch at a designated picnic spot. Thereafter head out again in search of more animal action and all that Mother Nature has to avail. You might have the chance of witnessing the great migration with thousands of wildebeests and zebras depending on your time of travel (June-July). At the end of the day’s activities, drive back to your camp / lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today, you will transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. In the early morning after your breakfast at your camp / lodge in Serengeti with lunch en-route.
On reaching the conservation area, you will drive to the crater rim. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater on an adventurous trail. For a game drive tour at the floor of this beautiful natural wonder. It is home to over 25,000 animals and a wide variety of bird species. Including the lion, leopards, elephants, hyenas, cheetah, buffalos, black rhinos, hippos, elands, wildebeests, zebras, oribis, Thomson gazelles and waterbucks. At the end of the crater floor tour, you will exit the crater, ascend to the crater rim and drive off to your camp / lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Back to Arusha
Last day in the wilderness. Have your delicious breakfast as you reminisce about the past day’s sounds and sightings. After your breakfast, exit Ngorongoro Conservation Area for Arusha to be dropped at the airport for your flight back home or to your hotel in Arusha.
