Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Nairobi
Upon arrival at the airport in Kenya, our company driver / guide will meet you and pick you up for a transfer to Nairobi where you will spend the night. Depending on your time of arrival, you ca go for a city tour in Nairobi and do some shopping for the safari. Diner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Samburu National Reserve
Very early in the morning after breakfast, the driver will pick you up and you hit the road driving Northwards via the Equator to the unique Samburu National Park. Home to the rare Northern specialist species which include the beisa Oryx, grevy’s zebras, gerenuk, reticulated giraffes and the Somali ostriches. Have brief stop to enjoy a hot meal at lunch time.
Continue your journey, arriving the reserve in the late afternoon. Embark on a game drive as you drive towards your lodge / camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Game drive in Samburu National Park
This little known reserve teems with abundance of wildlife including hundreds of African elephants, larger predators like lions, cheetahs, leopards and wild dogs are a common sighting, the zebras, giraffes, oryx, generuk and many different species of birds. Drive to different corners of the park for exciting game viewing.
Lunch back at the lodge and then in the afternoon visit the Samburu Cultural Village for a community and cultural interaction and experience. Dinner and overnight at your lodge / camp.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
After a delicious breakfast, exit Samburu National Reserve with a final game drive en-route. Drive to the floor of the Great Rift Valley to your next destination. Lake Nakuru National Park home to the beautiful Lake Nakuru, famously known for the flamingos that grace its shores, though their population has greatly reduced in the past couple of years.
Lunch stop en-route and then continue to Lake Nakuru NP embarking on a late afternoon game drive in the beautiful park. Dinner and overnight at your lodge / camp.
Day 5: Game drive in Lake Nakuru NP – Masai Mara National Reserve
Early morning breakfast and a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park to stop the wildlife species that roam the different habitats in the park. Look out for giraffes, zebras, rhinos, hippos, baboons, waterbucks, impalas, elands and the different species of birds including flamingos, pelicans and Egyptian goose.
Exit the park and drive to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve with lunch en-route arriving in the late afternoon for an introductory evening game drive in the Mara plains. Dinner and overnight at your lodge / camp.
Day 6: Explore the Masai Mara National Reserve
There is a lot to see in the famous Masai Mara National Reserve home to the Big 5 African animals. (Lion, Leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) and to the world famous wonder, the Great annual Wildebeest Migration (July-October).
Drive around the Mara plains for chance of spotting different animals. Like the zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, elands, gazelles, hyenas, cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles and beautiful species of birds. Dinner and overnight at your lodge / camp.
Day 7: Departure – Nairobi
Early breakfast and one more game drive before you exit the Masai Mara NR. For a road trip back to Nairobi with a stop in Narok town for lunch. You will be dropped at your hotel or at the airport for your flight back home.
