Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
On arrival at the airport, you will be met and picked by our company representative. With a brief summary of the trip, you will drive to Serengeti National Park found in the amazing Serengeti Ecosystem in Tanzania.
You reach the park in the afternoon in time for a delicious lunch, after which you will go for an afternoon game drive to explore the endless plains of Serengeti National Park dotted with numerous animals of different species and various bird species. Retreat from the game drive and drive to your camp / lodge for a relaxing evening, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Full day game in Serengeti National Park
Explore the famous Serengeti NP on a full day game drive experience. Best known for its huge herds of plains animals especially the wildebeests, zebras and gazelles and the great annual wildlife migration, the Serengeti NP is a one stop safari adventure. You can choose to end out with a picnic lunch or drive back to the lodge for a hot fresh lunch and a brief relaxation moment.
The park boosts of great populations of animals like lions, giraffes, buffalos, leopards, spotted hyenas, cheetahs, elands, topis, gazelles, baboons, impalas, elephants, hippopotamuses and crocodiles which inhabit the marshes near the Mara River. In addition to that, the park is home to more than 500 different species of birds including ostriches and vultures. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Wake up to a pre-breakfast game drive for chances to catch up with the predators on their early morning kill and for chances to spot some nocturnal animals. Drive back to your camp / lodge for a full delicious breakfast, after which you will depart Serengeti NP for Ngorogoro Conservation Area. One more game drive as you exit the park driving towards an extraordinary natural sanctuary of vast numbers of large mammals. Upon arrival in Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will have an afternoon drive around the crater rim or enjoy an afternoon walking safari with a picnic lunch en-route before you retire to your camp / lodge for a relaxing evening, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Exploration of Ngorongoro Crater
After your breakfast, drive to the crater rim and descend into the beautiful natural wonder, the Ngorongoro Crater. Home to thousands of animals (over 25,000) ranging from the big 5 (lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos and rhinos), cheetahs, hyenas to warthogs, impalas, wildebeests, zebras, gazelles and many others not leaving out over 450 bird species.
Explore the floor of the picturesque crater for a full wildlife adventure. Ascend to the crater rim for your picnic lunch at a designated picnic spot and then drive back to your camp / lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Proceed to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, with one more drive around the crater rim, you will set out to one of Tanzania’s most visited national parks, Lake Manyara National park. Famous for its vast herds of elephants and tree climbing lions that tend to sprawl out on the acacia tree branches most of the day. It is also home to buffalos, leopards, giraffes, zebras, hippos, impalas, water bucks, and bush bucks, monkeys (vervet and blue) and also boosts of over 400 species of birds including huge flocks of flamingos that flock the shores of Lake Manyara. Lunch on arrival and afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 6: Game drive in Lake Manyara National Park
Wake up to the sounds of the wilderness and have your breakfast. After which, set out for a game viewing adventure in Lake Manyara National park.
Drive to different parts of the park and look out for the tree climbing lions up in the acacia trees. Also drive towards the Lake for chances of spotting the beautiful flamingos. These flock the shores of the lake. Among other species of birds and animals that come around the lake for a water break and greener pastures. Retreat from the days’ activities and drive back to your camp / lodge. A relaxing evening time as you watch the sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 7: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will check out. Drive to the quiet yet lovely Tarangire National Park named after the Tarangeri River. The main water source during the dry season for thousands of animals.
Embark on a game drive on arrival. Animals to spot in the park include vast herds of elephants, various primates, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, hartebeests, wildebeests, elands, impalas, generuk and many more. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 8: Back to Arusha
Final day of the 8 days Tanzania Safari. Embark on an early morning game drive that increases your chances of seeing the big cats in action. As they are always more active in the cooler hours of the day. Or catch them feasting on their morning kill. Drive back to the lodge for your breakfast and check out. Drive back to Arusha where the driver will drop you at the airport. Catch your flight back home or drop you at your hotel in Arusha.
