Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
You will picked up from the airport or your hotel / residence in Nairobi by our company representative.
With a briefing about your safari, you will start your journey to Kenya’s favorite, Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy the views as you leave the city behind into the wilderness.
Have lunch at your lodge / camp upon arrival and later embark on a late afternoon game drive in the Mara with chances of spotting the big 5 African animals. Return to your lodge / camp for dinner and your first night in the wild.
Day 2: Game Drives in Masai Mara
Explore Masai Mara National Reserve on a full day game viewing experience.
With packed lunch boxes, start off the day with a morning game drive to catch up with the animals as the set off to start a new day.
You will have lunch at a designated spot near the Mara River and then head out again for afternoon and evening game drives in search of more wildlife sightings.
Animals in the Mara include wildebeests, elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, leopards, elands, gazelles, jackals, hyenas, warthogs, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles and hundreds of different bird species. Dinner and overnight at your lodge / camp.
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Rise and shine with the wild. Pre-sunrise game drive in Masai Mara NR to catch up with the nocturnal and or predators as they feast on their morning hunt.
Return to your lodge / camp for breakfast and prepare for a transfer to Serengeti National Park also famous for the annual Wildebeest Migration over the border in Tanzania.
You will be at the Isebania border of Kenya and Tanzania in about 2 hours. Complete the immigration formalities and also have an early lunch break.
Later on, continue with your journey into Tanzania immediately embarking on a game drive as you head towards your camp / lodge where you will spend the nest 2 nights. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Game Drives in Serengeti
Game drive extravaganza in the endless plains of Serengeti National Park. You will take part in game drives at different times of the day as this provides opportunities for viewing a variety of animal species, taking a different game drive track to different parts of the park.
The Serenora River Valley area is a must visit as it boosts with abundance of wildlife throughout the year especially during the migration season when animals are passing through the area.
Expect sightings of lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, elands, wildebeests, topis, impala, jackals, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles among others. Dinner and overnight at your camp / lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Pre-breakfast game drive for a chance to spot the predators and or big cats you might have missed the previous day as the cooler hours of the day are their active hours. Drive back to the lodge for breakfast and a transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the scenic Ngorongoro Crater. Optional activity for the early morning is the Hot Air Balloon safari over the Serengeti plains.
Embark on a scenic game drive around the crater rim on arrival in Ngorongoro. Sightings include giraffes which are not found on the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater. Picnic lunch and more game sightings as you drive towards your camp / lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater
Early rise, breakfast, packed lunch. You are all set for a day of exploration in the world famous Ngorongoro Crater.
Drive towards the rim and descend 600 m down into the crater. Home to over 25,000 animals which calls for rewarding game drives. With a thrilling variety of game sightings including the Big 5, wildebeests, elands, hippos, zebras, gazelles among others with beautiful bird species calling from across the crater.
Lunch and ascent to the crater rim for a drive back to the camp / lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Departure
Breakfast and check out. You will be dropped off at the airport in Arusha to catch your flight back home.
