Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Serengeti National Park
You will be met by the company driver / guide for pick up from the airport or your hotel in Arusha after breakfast and transfer to the endless plains of Serengeti National Park. Famous for the annual wildebeest migration, a world natural wonder.
The Serengeti plains are the perfect hunting grounds for leopards and other big cats (loins, cheetahs) which you will get a chance to see during your visit to the park. Arriving in the afternoon you will have your lunch and then embark on an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 2: Game Drives in Serengeti
Full day exploration of the Serengeti National Park endless plains for a wilderness game viewing experience. After your breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive for chances of spotting the big cats (lions, leopards, cheetahs) as they more active during the cooler hours of the day. Drive back to the camp / lodge for your lunch and a little relaxation and then drive out again for more game viewing sights and .experiences.
Expect to see diversity of wildlife species including elephants, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, buffalos, elands, reedbuck, waterbucks, gazelles, hippos, crocodiles, hyenas, jackals among others, alongside hundreds of different bird species. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 3: Drive to Ngorongoro Crater and Transfer to Arusha
After an early breakfast and with packed lunches, you will check out and drive to Ngorongoro for a game viewing experience in the amazing Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is a natural wonder with unbelievable wildlife diversity, housing almost 30,000 animals and hundreds of different species of birds.
During a game drive at the floor of the crater, you will find almost all species that are found in the East African savannahs and grasslands with the exception of topis, giraffes and impalas. Ascend to the crater rim and have your lunch at a designated picnic spot with spectacular views after which you will transfer to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 4: Fly to Kigali, Drive to Volcanoes National Park
Your drive will meet you at your hotel for pick up after breakfast and drive you to the airport to catch your flight to Kigali. Upon arrival, you will be picked up by your driver / guide who will drive you to your accommodation in or around Volcanoes National Park. This drive will take you through the undulating hills of Rwanda. Reach in the evening and check in at your hotel / lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in PNV
Very early in the morning, rise up, have your breakfast and drive to the park head offices for briefing about the gorilla trekking activity and to be allocated a gorilla family to trek.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Thereafter get into the tropical rain forest and search for the mountain gorillas. Starting from where they were the previous day until you find them.
Take amazing photos, selfies and ask the ranger guides any questions you might have about the mountain gorillas.
Return to the park offices for your gorilla trekking certificate. Then drive back to the hotel / lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the evening, you will visit the famous scenic Twin Lakes of Rwanda. Lake Bulera and Lake Ruhondo. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel / lodge.
Day 6: Kigali and Departure
Rise and shine, beautiful day, birds singing beautiful sunrise. Have your breakfast and then prepare for a drive to Kigali for a short city tour. Before you are drop off by your drive at the airport to catch your flight back home.
