Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Kampala
Upon arrival at the airport in Entebbe, you will be welcomed by our company driver / guide who will pick you up and drive you to Kampala, He will give you a briefing about our safari along the way. Drop off at your hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Early morning breakfast at your hotel and pick up by your driver after check out and then hit the road to the scenic South Western part of Uganda. First stop will be at the 0 degree line, the Equator in Kayabwe. An educational stop and picture moment of-course. Thereafter, continue with your journey with another stop in Mbarara town in Western Uganda for a delicious lunch.
From here on, the views get better and greener. From rolling hills to lovely lakes. You will arrive at your accommodation in the evening, do nothing much but check in, have dinner and rest in for the night.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
Gorilla trekking brings you up close to these much sought after endangered great apes, the Mountain Gorillas. After your early breakfast, the driver will drive you to the park headquarters for registration and briefing about the gorilla trekking activity in the impenetrable forest of Bwindi.
Following your ranger guides allocated to your group, you will start your trek in the dense forest. The time spent on the trek depends on the movements of the gorillas and nature of the route taken. Once the gorillas are in sight, you will be allowed a thrilling 1 whole hour in their presence, watching them as the take on their daily duties. Ask any questions and take as many pictures and selfies as you may please. No flash. Walk back to the park offices for your certificates and drive back to your lodge / camp for lunch. After a good time of relaxation, you will go for a Batwa Community visit. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge / camp.
Day 4: Transfer to Kisoro Airstrip – Entebbe to Arusha
After your breakfast, check out of your room and your drive will drive you to Kisoro airstrip for your domestic flight to Entebbe International Airport. From Entebbe airport international airport, you will fly to Arusha International Airport where our company representative will pick you up and drive you to your camp / lodge in or around Arusha, Tanzania.
Day 5: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, your driver will pick you up and you drive to Serengeti National Park passing near the edge of Ngorongoro Crater into the endless plains allowing for wildlife viewing opportunities. Lunch en-route.
Arriving in the afternoon, you will embark on an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of Serengeti National Park. This vast park has so much to offer from different animal species to hundreds of different bird species. Look out for lions, elephants, wildebeests, leopards, zebras, buffalos, giraffes, antelopes, gazelles among others. Retreat from the activity and drive to your camp / lodge for check in, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: A scheduled flight back to Arusha
Wake up to a pre-sunrise game drive in Serengeti National Park for chances to spot some nocturnal animals and the predators (lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, jackals) on their morning hunt or feasting on their prey. Watch the park come to life at sunrise.
More game viewing opportunities as you drive back to your camp / lodge for a delicious breakfast. Optional activity for the early morning is a Hot Air balloon Safari at an extra cost. After breakfast, check out and drive to Arusha airport to catch your flight back home.
