Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
Early morning breakfast, check out and pick up by our company representative / driver then proceed with your safari to the famous Masai Mara National Park, one of the most visited parks in Kenya. Arriving at your camp in the afternoon, you will be on time for lunch. Have your meal and after embark on a late afternoon game drive in the vast plains of Masai Mara National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge / camp.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive
After breakfast, with your packed lunch boxes, head out for full day game drive adventures in the Masai Mara plains with a chance of witnessing the great migration happen if you are in the park at the right time of the year, in right place and at the right time at the Mara River. Animals to spot this day include thousands of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, elephants, buffalos, warthogs, waterbucks, hippos, crocodiles, elands, topis among others accompanied by different species of beautiful birds. Retreat from the activity and drive back to your lodge / camp for Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
Pre-sunrise game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve for chances to spot the predators (hyenas, jackals) and big cats (lions, leopards, cheetahs) on their morning hunt or feasting on their kill. Watch the morning sunrise brighten up the park as the day unfolds. Drive back for breakfast and check out. Exit the Mara plains for Lake Nakuru National Park, with lunch en-route. You will arrive Lake Nakuru in the late afternoon, do some game viewing as you drive to your lodge / camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer back to Nairobi and Travel to Arusha
Pre-sunrise game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park for chances of spotting the predators that call this park home. Drive back to your lodge / camp for breakfast, check out and prepare for your journey back to Nairobi with more game viewing opportunities as you exit the park. Stop in Nairobi for your lunch, thereafter embark on a journey to Tanzania through the Namanga border where you will do the immigration formalities and then continue your drive to Arusha where you will spend the night. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area / Crater
Beautiful morning in Arusha. Have your breakfast, after embark on a scenic drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the famous Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival in Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will have lunch at your camp / lodge and after an afternoon drive or guided walking safari around the crater rim with a picnic lunch en-route before you retire back to your camp / lodge for a relaxing evening, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Explore the floor of Ngorongoro Crater
After your breakfast, drive to the crater rim and descend into the beautiful unbroken caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater. Home to thousands of animals (over 25,000) ranging from the big 5 (lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos and rhinos – rare sightings), to cheetahs, hyenas, warthogs, impalas, wildebeests, zebras, gazelles and many others accompanied by hundreds of beautiful different bird species. Explore the floor of the picturesque crater for a full wildlife adventure. Lunch at a designated picnic spot and then later in the evening, drive back to your camp / lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, check out and drive towards the wilderness of Serengeti National Park, one of the most popular parks in Tanzania, land of the big cats (lions, leopards and cheetahs) and home to the breathtaking Great Wildebeest annual Migration. Embark on a game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti and get a little glimpse of this amazing wilderness. Later in the afternoon, you will drive to your camp / lodge, check in and have an evening of relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 8: Exploration of the Serengeti Plains
Set out today for game drives around the Serengeti plains to spot the different animals that call it home. Depending on the time of the year of your trip, you might get a chance to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration happen in front of your eyes. Millions of wildebeests and thousands of zebras take part is this annual wildlife wonder. Other animals to spot include giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, rhinos (rare sightings), elands, waterbucks, warthogs, hippos, crocodiles and different species of birds. Drive back for dinner and overnight at your camp / lodge.
Day 9: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
Continue your safari to another thrilling park, Lake Manyara National Park. Famous for its vast herds of elephants and tree climbing lions that rest on the acacia tree branches most of the day. It is also home to buffalos, leopards, giraffes, zebras, hippos, impalas, water bucks, and bush bucks, monkeys (vervet and blue) and also boosts of over 400 species of birds including huge flocks of flamingos that flock the shores of Lake Manyara. Lunch on arrival and afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 10: Explore Lake Manyara
After breakfast, drive to different parts of the park and look out for the tree climbing lions up in the acacia trees, also drive towards the Lake for chances of spotting the beautiful flamingos that flock the shores of the lake among other species of birds and animals that come around the lake for a water break. Retreat from the days’ activities and drive back to your camp / lodge for a relaxing evening time as you watch the sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 11: Drive to Kilimanjaro Airport – Fly to Uganda
After breakfast, your driver will pick you up and drive you to the Kilimanjaro JR airport via Arusha town for some shopping for anything you might need for the remaining days on your safari and after catch your flight to the pearl of Africa, Uganda. You will be welcomed by our company driver / guide at the airport in Entebbe, who will later drive you to Entebbe / Kampala to check in at your hotel / lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Welcome to Uganda.
Day 12: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your driver will pick you from your hotel very early in the morning after your breakfast and drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, famous for the rare mountain gorillas. With 2 en-route stopovers, in Kayagwe at the Equator line and in Mbarara for lunch. Reach Bwindi in the evening and drive straight to your lodge for check in. Dinner and overnight at your lodge / camp.
Day 13: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Will probably be the most memorable day on this 15 days safari. After your early breakfast, with packed lunch boxes, drive to the park offices for registration. Briefing and allocation to a gorilla family to track. Start your trek with ranger guides and trackers.
Once in sight of the great apes, keeping the recommended distances. You will be allowed a full hour in their presence. Taking pictures as you watch the gorillas do their daily routines. Retreat and head back to the head offices for your trekking certificates. You can opt for an evening village walk or visit the Batwa Community. Dinner and overnight at your lodge / camp.
Day 14: Drive back to Kampala
Early morning breakfast and drive back to Kampala. Arrive in the evening drive to your hotel / lodge for dinner and overnight stay. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 15: Transfer to Entebbe airport
Breakfast and after drive to Entebbe airport for your flight back home.
