Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, meet and greet with our company representative / driver who will pick you up and transfer you to your accommodation in Kampala for check in. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge / hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your driver will pick you from your hotel very early in the morning after your breakfast and drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to almost half of the entire mountain gorilla population in the world.
You will have 2 stopovers en-route, at the Equator line and in Mbarara for lunch. Reach Bwindi in the evening and drive straight to your lodge for check in. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge / camp.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and Flight to Nairobi
Time for a lifetime memory, being up close and personal to the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. After your early breakfast, with packed lunch boxes, drive to the park offices for registration, briefing and allocation to a gorilla family to track. Start your trek with ranger guides and trackers.
Once in sight of the great apes, keeping the recommended distances, you will be allowed a full hour in their presence, taking pictures as you watch the gorillas do their daily routines. Retreat and head back to the head offices for your trekking certificates after which, your driver will take you to the nearest airstrip for your domestic flight to Entebbe to catch your flight to Nairobi, Kenya. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge / camp.
Day 4: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
After your breakfast, you will be meet by our company representative who will drive you to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. You will have a stopover at the Rift Valley view point and marvel at beautiful greenery of the Great East African Rift Valley.
Arriving the Mara in the afternoon, you will drive to your lodge / camp for lunch and then embark on a late afternoon game drive to start of your game viewing experiences in the savannah. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge / camp.
Day 5: Game drives in Masai Mara
Early morning breakfast, then embark on a full day game viewing extravaganza in the Masai Mara National Reserve. With your packed lunch boxes, head out and explore the different corners of the national reserve towards the Mara River for a chance to witness the annual wildebeest migration depending on the time of the year you have visited the park. Look out for the elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos (rare sightings), buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, gazelles, warthogs, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles among others.
You will have your lunch at a designated picnic spot near the Mara River and later, drive towards the Mara plains landscape for more wildlife viewing opportunities. Drive back to your lodge / camp for an evening of relaxation or visit the Masai Village. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge / camp.
Day 6: Transfer from Masai Mara NR to Serengeti National Park
Pre-sunrise game drive for chances of spotting Masai Mara’s predators (jackals, hyenas0 and big cats (lions. Cheetahs, leopards) on a morning hunt or feasting on their prey. Return to your lodge for breakfast, refreshment and check out as you prepare to cross borders to the famous Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.
In approximately 2 hours, you will arrive at the Isebania border, stop for immigration formalities and early picnic lunch. Thereafter, you will continue into Serengeti National Park for a welcome game drive on your way to your camp / lodge.
Serengeti National Park is home to huge populations of wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs as well as herbivores including elephants, hippos, and giraffes. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 7: Game Drives in the Serengeti Endless Plains
Pre-breakfast / sunrise game drive in the famous Serengeti National Park. Marvel at the beauty of this wilderness as you search for the big cats (lions, cheetahs, leopards) on the hunt for their morning meal or on a feast of their night kill. Drive back to the lodge for a delicious breakfast.
Head back out in the endless plains of the Serengeti searching for the Big 5 African animals (lions. Leopards, elephants, buffalos and rhinos “rare sighting”) and (if lucky) watch and marvel at the movements of the famous Wildebeest Migration. Have a break for your picnic lunch and then continue with the game viewing extravaganza. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 8: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
You will have one more game viewing opportunity as you exit the Serengeti NP to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Driving through the plains along the Seronera River Valley known for having a large collection of predators and the prey.
Drive to the crater rim of Ngorongoro for a game drive. Expect to see giraffes around the crater rim. It you will not find at the floor of the crater among other animals. Drive to your accommodation facility for a late lunch, check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 9: Explore the floor of Ngorongoro Crater
After a delicious early morning breakfast, you will head out for a full day exploration of the amazing Ngorongoro Crater. Expect to see the big cats (lions, cheetahs and leopards) with the latter rarely spotted. Spot other animals like elephants, buffalos, black rhinos, hippos, elands, wildebeests, zebras, oribis, waterbucks, Thomson gazelles and different species of birds.
Descend 600m down into the wildlife dotted (over 25,000 animals) crater. Marvel at its beauty and over 450 different species of birds. You will ascend to the rim to have your picnic lunch. Later drive back to your camp / lodge for an evening of relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 10: Departure – Arusha
Last day of your safari. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Arusha to catch your flight back home.
